I bought a 2000 S10 4X4 for a future project but didn`t get a key,My question is can I drill the lock and use a srewdriver for a key just to see if it really runs?

Does it have the rod that runs down the column to the ignition switch like an older GM?

If it does just pop the rod off and move the switch all the way down to engage the starter. Then slide it back one click to put it in the run position.

I feel for you Rick I know just what kind of mess you have on your hands. Mice and rats and the damage they do is horrible.
