Little one wanted to build something for “her” Toyota, so we knocked out some cup holders. I know it isn’t nothing crazy but she had a hand in it from start to finish( still have to paint it.)

Shifter is the next task to handle. Made it from teak cladded with steel and mosaic pins. Should I leave the steel raw or paint it?

I'd at least clear coat it so it does not rust. I'm diggin the shifter

Looks good. Only thing I would do is, either run the insert deeper or cut the threads so the knob seats flush to the shifter.

It sits flush, that was fully done.

Forced my depressed ass to get out in the garage get something done. Worked more on the rear bumper and mocked up the rear armor.
Frenched in a led brake/turn/reverse light into the bumper, think it looks a lot better than trailer lights.

Been working all the overtime I can just to keep our heads above water but did get a chance to do some wiring with the kido. If things keep up I’ll have to really give some thought into selling back my truck or parting out the 40.

Sell the truck and keep the 40. Times will tick up. Keep your chin up bud. Looks like a lot more memories already in the FJ. Plus I don’t have the cash for it right now and don’t want to lose out.

I might be interested in the powertrain, if you decide to split it up.

But I do hate to hear it. It was coming along nicely.

Still have some things I feel I need to finish before I can list the 40. Today I cut and drilled the corner armor, should I leave it black or color match to the paint? (Have to paint the hood and windshield frame so wouldn’t be much more work)

I asked Charlie today if she’s sure it’s ok we sell “her” Toyota. She told me yes as long as it’s not to get money but to get another vehicle that will makes other kids happy. Damn I love these girls…..
