So after seeing my wheeling rig sit 360+ days a year, and my wife and daughter both not really enjoying going wheeling, I decided to make it streetable so it could be used more. During the teardown for mods I found the driverside frame rail busted in half, and the frame rusting internally pretty badly. Decided to strip it down and start from scratch. Sold off the engine, tranny, doubler, chassis, and few odds and ends and snagged a bone stock 01 TJ with a trashed motor in it. Decided to build it with street manners being priority 1, but still make it capable of being wheeled and staying together. All the drivetrain was pulled and my 1 tons were installed, dropped a 5.3/700r4/np241 under the hood, put it on 40's and called it good. Started working on it in July for 6 weekends, then had to take some time off of it due to work schedule. Put about 7 more days into it now. and it is close to running. Hopefully by the end of the week, or next weekend it will be fired off and mobile. Looks like we will be be moving in 2 weeks, and Id like to drive it on the trailer and not have to push it.
Ill get some new pics tomorrow, most under the hood is done, armor is on, fenders are coated. Its starting to look like something.
