Just picked up this 88 Zuki on yota axles. My youngest boy wants to drive it to school but that’s 4 years away. So I’m going to go ahead and start getting it ready to be my next crawler. Got a few things to address but other than that its a pretty solid zuki. It has EFI on it so probably gonna leave it on there and find a new tank for it later on to put in the bed of it. But did get it home and took off the goofly fender flares that were on it.

what are your plans to build it up into a crawler?

Going to leave the yota axles on it. Eventually gonna link it front and rear and run some 39” reds. Build some kind of exo cage for it. I want to try and build some kind of back cover to make it look like a truck. Just a simple crawler but but make it very capable and keep it as much Zuki as possible.

Thank you sir. It’s a cool little rig. Gonna go meet Monstercrawler at the end of March at bport and go putt around in it. Haven’t been on the trails in 5 years. Ready to be back out on them.

So finally got back on the rocks 5 years later and really enjoyed it. The Zukota did way better than i expected. I was really impressed with it. Got a few things I’m going to fix on it then call it good. Going to delete as much wiring as possible, new dash with gauges, put full hydro steering on it, interior cage, new seats, try and take the body lift off and new wheels and 35” tires.

The new rig did very well with those street tires. It will be a rock slaying machine with different tires and better steering. Don't thow anything of the stuff away that you take off. You know I have a zuki hording problem. hahaha

I cant wait to get better steering and tires on it. I wont take much for this thing to be a sweet little crawler.

Well i was trying to leave it alone as much as i could. But i can’t. So I’m going to take the body lift off. I just ordered an interior cage for it. Ordering full hydro steering for it this week. I’m going to take off the EFI and order the Got Propane kit. Want to run what i know and i know nothing about EFI. Plus I’m wanting to take as much of this wiring out as i can. I’m going to try and leave as much of the body as i can and still run a 35/37 and still be as low as i can. 3695D6B6-5D6C-4F2F-8F3D-8E2E6E8213E4.jpeg

make it to suit your needs and be happy with it or you will end up like me. I traded off all the stuff I really liked for the BBD (bigger better deal) and now I don't have anything ready to wheel
