Ram EGR service

Had to take the Dually in for a DEF service warning and had them check why one of the trailer blinker and stoplight does not work. The Service writer called me this morning and said they have to replace the fuel pump and a "pim"? Or something like that to fix the trailer turn and stop signal.

Then.....she said the tech is recommending they do the EGR service whixh is $699 and oil, air, fuel, filters plus a ranch pkg or something to service the transfer case. I declined all that. Sheesh!

So I googled the egr service and seems that is supposed to happen at 67,500 miles. I have 82,500. There is a kit to do the egr service for $119.00 I think or $129.00.

I also got lucky when I bought the truck and got the upgraded warranty, so all I have to pay is my $100 deductible.

Back to the Jeep now....

Yeah, you gotta watch the stealerships. My egr is due for service as well. I'll let my brother in law do that while he is servicing my transmission.

Got ma truck back today.... I was beginning to have withdrawals. I think I'll be doing the egr delete in a few thousand miles.
