Looking for a family ride and Im a Jeep guy. So Im looking for opinions on ZJs, XJs, or maybe even WJs. The good the bad and the ugly. Currently have my evey on a ZJ with a 5.9.

I would say go with the ZJ. it has the coil spring suspension on all 4 corners. the rear axle even if it a D44 is really not that desirable.

Zj has more room and power with nicer suspension. xj has less room but more reliable trans and engine. Wj is nicest for all around driving daily no mods needed kind of thing. If modding go xj and Zj with a 5.9 is just beast.

Well the ZJ in the above Craigslist add is already moded. Mostly the typical bolt on stuff with a 5.2 V8. I dont have my heat set on anything in particular. Just want to see what yall think or have experience with. I want something the family can load up in and go to Gilmer, Hidden Falls, or Colorado and have fun. Nothing crazy as my kids are 9, 7, and 3. Just want to have a little fun and make some memories before they get to big and dont want to spend time with mom and dad.

Yes sir we still have it and plan to play with it. When you take into account what Im wanting to do with it I think it makes more sense to buy a turn key vehicle. Putting pen to paper EFI, brakes, steering, wiring, tires, A/C, adds up fast. I found a XJ in Oklahoma Im trying to work a deal on right now. If it all works out of course Ill put pictures up here in the mall crawler thread.
